What are treatments for Binge Eating Disorder?
Would weight loss surgery like the Lap Band cure someone with this disorder?
I'm a binge eater too. It's not easy that much I know. I have been increasing my cardio and eating healthy snacks. Now I might eat a bunch of carrots instead a box of crackers. I realize I have not fixed the habit, but I have cut the calories on the binge. Distract yourself with other things to do…get out of the house if that's where you tend to binge. Good luck!

It's a mental thing, you would need a psychatrist.
I would just say stop binge eating and eat little bits of healthy food throughout the day. But It's not that easy.
Or stop burning that cheeba and getting the munchies. haha

No the surgery will be ineffective since Binge eating is a "disorder", it needs to be treated before any weight loss program, surgery, etc. Should be tried.

Treatment for binge eating disorder includes counseling and sometimes medicine. Goals in treating binge eating often include;
Reducing your number of eating binges.
Developing healthy eating and exercise habits.
Dealing with shame or guilt about your eating disorder.
Developing a healthy view of yourself and your body.
Getting treatment for other conditions that you also might have, such as depression, anxiety, or health problems related to being overweight.

No that's just a temporary fix, plus you'll still have cholesterol problems after the surgery (cause it can't fix that). Then if you eat again cause you're thin you'll be adding to the cholesterol issues and won't know it when you get a heart attack.
You need to take "small steps" to curing this. Start by only eating 3 meals a day, and NOTHING in between. I know someone who lost 50-60 (or more I forgot) just by this step alone (it took a few months that's all). He also jogged and didn't care what people said about the fat guy running, cause he knew he needed it and he knew he will be thin. You gotta keep that "i will be thin and i will work for it no matter what and no matter what people say" mindset y'all.
